Now eBay buyers and sellers have The World’s Online Marketplace at their fingertips, wherever they go. The new eBay application for the iPhone is specially designed to run natively on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. Using a streamlined interface that’s as elegant as it is practical, eBay members can search, bid, and check their activity on the go. Buyers can sneak in that last-minute bid on a hard-to-find item, sellers can check on their sales, and everyone can act on time-sensitive information on the spot without a computer. eBay is now open for business anytime, anywhere on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

I disagree that it works “really well” for tracking items that you are selling. If you are like me and have hundreds of items listed, it does NOT give you a summary total of how much your items have been bid up to. You have to scroll… and scroll… and scroll… manually counting up bid amounts in your head. What a waste. I bookmark the ebay selling manger page instead in Safari.

Also, you cannot search completed listings on it. So it is pointless to use when researching what to buy when you are out shopping for inventory. I log into Terapeak for that and use their free ebay search instead.

Man, if someone were to make a Terapeak app for iPhone, ebay sellers would be ALL over that one!

This app works really well for tracking items that you are selling… I still would not use it as a substitute for Ebay’s website.
