Gym Geek is an exercise tracking program that is focused on exercising instead of playing.

The key to lifting weights is to progressively increase the work you are doing as your body adapts. GymGeek helps you to track your workout progress and to apply the principles of progressive resistance. GymGeek does this by giving you stars. Just like when you were a kid and the teacher gave you a star when you were good, you’ll get them again as you meet your goals. As you lift and input your sets and repetitions, GymGeek will track if you’ve met your goal and then give you a star. The number of stars you get for an exercise is determined by the number of times you achieve your goal consecutively. We’ve all had good days in the gym when you feel you can lift about anything. These are not the days to assume you’ve improved. Instead, you should only increase the resistance if you show a trend of improving.

GymGeek is designed for the intermediate or advanced weight lifter. You are not constrained by a predetermined set of exercises, sets and reps. If an exercise can be tracked in terms of sets, repetitions and weight, then it can be input and tracked in GymGeek. The application is designed to be used at the gym as you are exercising.

When performing a set, the statistics from the last ten executions can be seen. This information helps you to understand what you did last time and gives you a chance to improve your performance this time. A cumulative total for the exercise is maintained during each workout that shows the total amount of weight lifted and the total repetitions. The cumulative total is a good indicator to ensure you are improving. When working out, your goal should be to improve your cumulative totals by the amount of weight lifted or the number of repetitions performed.

Notes can be maintained for each exercise and for each set. How many times have you had to stop and think how many plates do you need to equal 200 pounds on a bench press. With GymGeek, once you figure it out, you can enter the information as a note which will speed up your exercise time. Notes about each set can also be entered. For example; what tempo should you perform the first set, what about the second set? With GymGeek you have a handy way to remind yourself about how the exercise should be performed.

•Simple and focused on the workout and made to be used in the Gym
•Receive stars when you meet your exercise goals allowing you to know when to increase your targets
•Create your own workouts
•Name your exercises in your own terms
•Quickly see your performance from the last 10 times you performed a set or an exercise
•Define target weights and repetitions for each set
•Weights can be entered as imperial or metric units
•Does not use a network connection
