Using HSBC’s latest augmented reality mobile application, HSBC Golf, participants will be transported and challenged to one of the most formidable holes world-class golfers face – the 8th hole at Tanah Merah Country Club.
Modeling the game to the sport in reality, players are to grip their mobile devices like golf clubs, and are required to search for a flag where they will physically swing their iPhones to hit a virtual golf ball into a hole thereafter. Players can get into a full multi-sensory golfing action where they can experience vibrations and realistic sounds every time they hit the ball, enlivening the golfing experience. As the holes get progressively more challenging, players will struggle to remain on par!
After players have mastered their perfect swing with the game, players can come visit the HSBC Golf ‘Live’ Challenge roadshow at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on 21 – 23 January 2011. Players can stand a chance to win S$10,000 in HSBC’s Multi Currency Savings once they complete sinking the golf ball from eight different stations with the least number of strokes!
