The developers of Pocket God have worked hard to release 10 new updates in 10 weeks. They have recently released their 10th update and are continuing to add fun and functionality. Their 11th update, called “A Mighty Wind”, is awaiting approval from Apple.
Dave Castlenuova, “We have about 2 or 3 more updates in mind before we start moving the game into a persistent experience with island customizations, and maybe some rpg style play if we can find a way to do it with the same humour as the rest of the game. We want to make sure that we don’t just add new functions for the sake of new functions, they should always make us laugh while develoiping them and they should also have some kind of unique interaction for the user.”
My personaly experience playing this game has been endlessly entertaining. Now this is not a game you would expect to play for hours on end, but it is fun for 5-10 minutes at a time. It’s fun to try different thing and see how you can get different functions to interact. My personal favorite feature is the minigame of flinging the Pigmis into the volcano. I recommend trying to drop the coconut on the Pigmis head and try to see how many times you can make it bounce back and forth between Pigmis
Now this game does have a a sadistic sense of humour, because in the end you are killing Pigmis, but it it does in a clean, lighthearted and amusing way. For a game that only costs $0.99 it gives you a lot of beautiful art and interactive entertainment. I absolutely recommend a purchase, so pick it up in the iTunes store today.
