PhotoTrader improves upon an old idea: Photography is much more enjoyable when it can be shared with others. Through its intuitive interface and by facilitating social interaction, PhotoTrader connects individuals around the globe through a mutual love of photography.
In a nutshell, this is ‘social photography’ for the iPhone.
The basic operation of PhotoTrader is simple: Users take a photo with their iPhone and – with a quick push of a button – exchange it with another user, receiving a different photo in return. Users can then send additional photos, chat messages or trade another photo with someone else entirely.
This isn’t all, however! Fun social features offer even more opportunity to engage with fellow photographers. Users can award ‘Stars’ to photos they like, with the best photographers listed on a daily ranking leaderboard. Users can easily keep track of friends, as well as take part in a daily Theme of the Day (using user-contributed themes) competition.
